Here it is, a real American Beauty, but with a flaw - a couple of months ago, despite years of babying, it developed an apparently well-known but mysterious stalling syndrome that affects these Buicks from time to time. The problem consists of this - the car will typically have only been running for twenty minutes or twenty or so miles, and running like a top, but suddenly and with no warning it coughs, sputters or chugs, begins to loose power and finally stalls, refusing to start again until after a couple of hours go by, at which time it starts as if nothing ever happened.
This car still has that occasional stalling issue but in the process of going at it, it also has had installed a raft of new parts, and I have kept my repair records. This car is worth reconditioning or restoring and the buyer will appreciate having the record - many or most of the components were replaced along the fuel line, as well as those hard to reach at the front like the water pump, the distributor, and other parts, all in the attempt to locate and eliminate the as yet unresolved stalling issue, we even changed the car's main computer, and it is very likely that the problem will respond to continued investigation by a new owner inspired to take up the challenge of bringing this sleeper back to the level of performance that it is capable of.
This is an awesome car to drive and I am sure there are years of "beast" left in it for the right buyer to enjoy, at the very least, the engine and the transmission are probably each worth the buying price.
When it is running normally, this 1994 Buick RoadMaster Estate Wagon's famous 5.7 liter LT1 engine is a responsive and strong sounding example of it's type, belying the odometer reading of 205,000 miles.
The transmission was rebuilt by the well-regarded Hersey garage in Enfield. NH.
There is the beginning of rust along some of the bottom leading edges of the body panels, but the frame appears to be sound.
The car is currently inspected and used occasionally. If I lived in Livingston and had to drive to Billings, it would be in this car.
This iconic Full Sized Twentieth Century American Woodie Station Wagon, this 1994 Buick RoadMaster Estate Wagon, is offered "as is", for the price of $2,000.00 - this should be a good link http://burlington.craigslist.org/cto/2351524266.html. but let me know by email at 1994buickroadmasterestatewagon@gmail.com, I am having a problem (apparently I do not understand craigslist yet, argh).
